Formula E’s Season 12 (2025/26) driver line-up is officially complete, and fans are gearing up for a record-breaking year of 17 races around the world. This season marks the final chapter of the GEN3 Evo before the introduction of the next-generation GEN4 in 2026/27.

Pre-season testing begins 27 October 2025 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, where all 11 teams will showcase their latest setups and driver pairings.
New Faces on the Grid
This season introduces several exciting new drivers to the world of all-electric racing.
Spanish rising star Pepe Martí joins CUPRA KIRO, stepping up from Formula 2 after an impressive record of multiple wins and podiums. Brazilian talent Felipe Drugovich makes his full-time debut with Andretti, bringing valuable experience as a former Formula 2 Champion and Aston Martin F1 reserve driver.
Sweden’s Joel Eriksson also secures a full-time seat with Envision Racing, after serving as Jaguar’s reserve driver. With experience across multiple teams, Eriksson’s promotion completes one of the most diverse and competitive grids Formula E has ever seen.
Champions Return for More
Several former World Champions return, some under new banners.
Two-time title holder Jean-Éric Vergne joins Citroën Racing, making history as the French brand enters Formula E for the first time. Antonio Félix da Costa, the 2019/2020 champion, moves to Jaguar TCS Racing to form a powerful partnership with long-time Jaguar driver Mitch Evans.
Reigning World Champion Oliver Rowland continues with Nissan, while Pascal Wehrlein stays loyal to Porsche. Formula E legends Sébastien Buemi and Lucas di Grassi remain on the grid with Envision Racing and Lola Yamaha ABT, respectively.
Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara return for Mahindra Racing, Jake Dennis stays with Andretti, and Maximilian Günther continues with DS Penske alongside rookie Taylor Barnard.
